About Us

The 1428 Active Retirement Club was founded in 1998 for the retired people of Mullingar and the surrounding areas. We have a policy of networking with other groups to provide social integration in learning, leisure, health, sport, social issues and personal development for the older person.

Our activities include coffee mornings, day trips, go for life (exercise programme), library, computer training, art classes, crochet and knitting craft and holiday breaks among others as we are open 5 days a week from 9.30am to 5pm.

We are a 'drop-in' centre for all members to come in for a chat, have a cup of tea/refreshments, read the daily papers or just for a little bit of company. We also help with form filling and general information enquiries.
